SUCCEED BY GIVING YOURSELF NO OTHER OPTION!

One of the best ways to ensure your financial future is through diversification of assets, (Don't Put All Your Eggs In One Basket). This is not a new concept to entrepreneurs. Another path entrepreneurs are well aware of is trapping themselves into success, not leaving themselves any other option, but to succeed.

On the surface, that suggestion might sound careless and risky, it doesn't have to be both. Calculated risks are not careless even though they may be risky. It has been said for many years that those who take the greatest risk receive the greatest reward. What is not said in that statement is that these individuals are typically extremely informed and have considered all the variables of their risk, i.e. Calculated risk.

So how do I figure out what the best traps are for my personal situation? That's a good question and you have the answer. What's been eating away at you for some time? What is it that you know you have to do, but for some reason can't pull the trigger. When you picture your best future, what's in it, what's not?

Below are some common problems with traps that might fix them.

    PROBLEM TRAP FOR SUCCESS
I am terrible at saving money. Buy an investment (house, land, antique, memorabilia) you love and make payments on it. It's much easier to save money if you don't have a choice.
There are not enough hours in the day. If you're so busy you can't keep up, hire an employee. Having to make that paycheck will inspire you to fill the day with work.
I am terrible at acquiring new clients. Ask for them. If you have repeat clients they obviously like you enough to refer you. Join a bunch of referred networking groups that charge a fee. The payments will get your attention and make you show up.
My office is in a bad neighborhood or looks unprofessional and I'm embarrassed to have clients over. Sign a lease in a nice space or make an investment in your current space. Your confidence is key when dealing with customers.
I don't have the equipment / resources I need to due the job. Get the equipment / resources now and use the burden of responsibility as your motivation.

As with anything else, the recommendations made above will only work if you are committed to your goals and personally responsible for your actions.

    Good Luck

    GETTING TO KNOW US

Another Criminal Behind Bars, Killed Girl Hopefully Get's Justice.

I received a phone call from Sarah Landry's brother (William Hoopes) on Thursday, December 1st notifying me that all our hard work had finally paid off. One of the people responsible for the double Hit-N-Run which killed Sarah was finally in jail after 18 months.

William and I joined forces while searching for the guy who killed my brother-in-law James Burton Hit-N-Run. We put our heads together, got her story out there and Michael R. Huey, 37, of St. Petersburg is now in custody.

This is a great victory for her family and friends. It is now up to the courts to deal with him. Check out Justice For Sarah to follow the story.

Practice For Stand-Up Comedy or A Future In Politics?

I have decided to take my views on the road, or at least on the web. On November 18th, Behind Closed Doors was released on the world. It is a Blog site on things that are happening in the world that are of interest to me or drive me insane.

Dictionary.com defines a Blog as a personal Web site that provides updated headlines and news articles of other sites that are of interest to the user, also may include journal entries, commentaries and recommendations compiled by the user; also written web log, Weblog; also called blog

Those who are easily offended or who don't share my mostly conservative / old fashioned / unsympathetic / often twisted / narrow minded / yet hysterically funny views on everything should avoid looking at my Blog. After all it's my BLOG.

FOR THE REST OF YOU, ENJOY! Click here to ENTER Behind Closed Doors.

Practice For Talk Radio or A Future In Politics?

After 8 years, I finally managed to get back on the radio, well not actually on the radio. I got rid of the annoying corporate BS that has ruined radio as we know it. That's right, no one pays me to talk about a product I don't use and pretend it's the greatest thing in the world, no one tells me what I can and can't talk about, and no one can pull my license for a wardrobe malfunction or anything else.

Behind Closed Doors has a weekly radio program addressing life and all it entails as seen by the 2 halves of society, the average, GOD fearing people, and the freaks of nature that make things interesting for the rest of us. Interestingly enough those 2 halves most often reside in the same person. I know its true for me.

BEHIND CLOSED DOORS - EVERYBODY SAYS THIS STUFF, I JUST SAY IT OUT LOUD!

    SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS

    JVB Architect / Carolina Studio:
Some jobs should only take a few minutes, but end up taking hours. Every now and then you walk into a clients office with just a few simple pressing jobs to take care of and then the client realizes why don' t I get every issue I've ever had in my entire life resolved. I agree. I'm there anyway, might as well knock it out. That was the case with Joe Belluccia and Bryan David. They may never have a problem again. Thanks guys.

    The Fox Jazz Club:
The Fox needed a computer resurrected. No problem, it's only a miracle. I got everything up and running and took care of a bunch of other stuff as well. Ever lose the ability to surf the web or check email? They did, but everything is fine now. In case you've never been to The Fox, it's probably the nicest spot in town. I'm not just sucking up. It really is. Check out their web site at www.foxjazzclub.com.

    Lorena Bitetto:
Whatever Microsoft tells you on the phone, hang up and call me first. One of the outsourced Indians (in India) who answered her tech support call walked her through a botched re-install of windows which is fine if you still have all the software that's been installed on your computer handy. If not, you'll be buying new software. After several hours of searching through her computer, we were able to put things back to before Microsoft, only it worked this time. Thanks Mary Alvarez & Lorena Bitetto.

    TECH TIPS & TRICKS

I Can't Get On The Internet. Internet Explorer Keeps Crashing Every Time I Try To Use It. Why?: Internet Explorer Sucks! Actually, It's probably the best product out there. Unfortunately, that makes it the main target for hackers and scum alike. Since it's used more than any other product out there, the degenerates with too much time on their hands write more exploits and viruses for it. If you do lose Internet Explorer functionality, simply go Here and download the Mozilla Firefox browser from another computer obviously, burn it to disk and install on the dead computer. You can now get on the Internet, run updates, service packs and such which will most likely fix your problem. If that's too much work, just use Firefox or call me.

How Do I Keep My Web site From Getting Transferred To Someone Else?: You Can't. If someone who has the knowledge really wants it, it's there's. Fortunately most of us haven't made that particular person mad so there is still hope for us. Make sure you register your site personally, in your name and that you are the Administrative, & Technical contact using an email you plan to always use. Once registered, place an administrative lock on the domain. If that's too much work, just call me.

My Computer Smells Like Burning Dust. Is There Anything I Can Do?: Yes! Throw it in an incinerator. If you don't have an incinerator handy, go to any computer store, buy canned air, unplug everything connected to your computer, go outside, take off left side cover with the computer front facing you, and empty the can of air inside blowing out all the dust. If that's too much work, don't call me. I hate dust.

ALERTS! ALWAYS GOOD FOR A FEW LAUGHS

Viruses: Basically the best advice we can give you is to shut your computer down, unplug it and leave it that way. You may still get a virus, but you won't know so it won't matter. Here are the latest little jewels to come out as defined by Symantec.com.

Trojan.Gurepirls is a Trojan horse that steals email address and registers the stolen addresses for a pornographic service. The Trojan then prompts the user to pay for access to a pornographic Web site.
DON'T GET IT! "Why pay for porno when there is so much free porn out there?" - Rolando

W32.Feldor.A is a virus that drops files, creates a registry entry, and may display a message
DONT GET IT! "I may display a hissy fit if i get this." - Rolando

SymbOS.Hidmenu.A is a Trojan horse that drops corrupted files to the memory card of the compromised device. DON'T GET IT! "I forgot where my memory card is." - Rolando

W32.Mytob.ML@mm is a mass-mailing worm that opens a back door and lowers security settings on the compromised computer.
DON'T GET IT! "Here we go with the Back Door thing again."- Rolando

SymbOS.Fontal.D is a Trojan horse that affects Symbian series 60 phones. It drops a corrupted Font file, thus causing the phone to fail at next reboot. It also attempts to disable Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Symbian on the compromised device by overwriting the files.
DON'T GET IT! "Good thing I don't have that phone. Do You?." - Rolando

W32.Mytob.MK@mm is a worm with back door capabilities that uses its own SMTP engine to send an email to addresses that it gathers from the compromised computer. DON'T GET IT! "All these Back Doors. Why?" - Rolando
