Whether your sick, dead, maimed, going through a midlife crisis, going
through a divorce, in an affair that led to the divorce, abducted by aliens,
face down in an alley OD'd, or hanging out with Dave Chapelle (oh wait
that's the same thing), have you thought about what happens to your business
if you suddenly disappear? What if you've been running a great, well known,
respected business that suddenly turns to crap and all your now ex-clients
come with pitchforks to hunt you down like Frankenstein simply because
you disappeared for a bit?
Are you holding all the keys? Are you the only person on earth who knows
where all the bones are buried? If you're in the bone business, this is
not good. Things can really fall apart quickly if the hands-on leader
of any organization suddenly disappears. You think you've taken care of
it but have you really, or do you think it will never happen to you? Maybe
you mean to get around to it like your diet, your promises to stop smoking
& drinking and every other New Years resolution that has faded into
the abyss.
I don't have to explain to you why all this matters, and why it's so
important but just in case you want to hear it anyway, here goes. Your
wife and kids will be left with nothing but a flaming pile of headache.
A perfectly good business could be destroyed and your employees will go
hungry. People who don't deserve the benefits of all your years of hard
work reap those exact benefits. Those Bastards!!!
WHAT CAN I DO? I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS THIS BAD!
# 1 GET AN ASSISTANT. Make sure someone you trust deeply
knows where the keys and bones are. Make sure they are as informed as
you are in every aspect of your business and have previously interacted
with all of the key clients and vendors you deal with.
# 2 GET INSURANCE. Get a Key Man policy or any other
policy that specifically covers the possibilities mentioned above. Have
a risk assessment done by an insurance agent you trust to limit your exposure.
Contact Mark
Vernick, CFP to get this covered. Mark is a great financial
planner who really knows and loves his job.
# 3 DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Keep the best records possible
of your daily activities to include client / vendor phone calls, emails,
letters, faxes and meetings. Make sure your assistant knows where these
records are. If you don't have one already, get a laboratory notebook
available at http://www.snco.com, keep it on your desk or with you if
you travel and fill it with information daily.
# 4 GET YOUR BUSINESS READY & KEEP IT READY TO SELL.
Your business should be ready to sell at all times. Just as you would
spruce up a house or car before selling, it is imperative you keep your
business in tip top shape at all times just in case. Not to mention you
might just wake up one day and decide you've had enough. Make it easier
on yourself to live the Corona commercial faster.

Video Interviews
 |
As usual Rolando J. Pozo is venturing
into unchartered waters to help provide yet another valuable service
to his clients. He is also a big ham who likes to be the center
of attention. This month the first of many Video Success
Interviews is included with RACI Times. In these videos,
we will be interviewing some of the most personally and businesswise
successful people Rolando can get his hands on unless they don't
like that.
It is our goal to uncover the mindset of people who seem to have
everything going for them. In these interviews the individual answers
to questions are not nearly as important as the ideology behind
them. Also we feel that how a person runs a particluar business
is secondary to their thought process. In other words, this will
not be an infomercial for a business. If you know someone or would
like to share your insight please contact Rolando at rolando@rolandoworld.net.
This information is very valuable to many people. Share your knowlege!

LG Gaming / Camera / Everything Phone
|
This New Cell Phone Will Make
Your More Unproductive Than You Ever Thought You Could Be. Cool!
LG's new "3D Game-Phone" has the small clamshell form
factor we get excited about. It is loaded with revolutionary features
that will encourage developers to think differently about game design.
The LG phone's features offer a unique gaming experience. For instance,
on the LG phone there are acceleration sensors, perhaps gyroscopic,
that will allow you to control the game by actually moving the phone
in different directions. The gamers that stick with it will look
like rhythm pros. A 1.3 megapixel camera is also included for additional
fun.
LGE said the product, which it put on display at the Consumer Electronics
Show that ended in Las Vegas, received much interest from the international
media and young spectators. LGE said it would begin marketing the
product in Korea in the first half of this year, targeting game
fanatics. Afterwards, it would put it on the North American and
European markets as a high-priced, premium product.

I Want To UpGrade My Hardware Or Get Some New Programs. Can My Computer
Handle It?: No! It really depends on what you're trying to do and
how far it is from where you are now. As long as you know the Name Brand,
Model #, Serial #, Operating System, RAM, Processor, and Hard drive space
of your computer, you should be fine. Just compare that with the product
you want to buy and see if it's a fit. If you have no idea what we're
talking about, give us a call to help you out.
How Do I Keep My Computer Performing At It's Best?:
Turn it off and keep it off. It really takes a diligent person to
keep a computer running great. Make sure you have the lastest virus software
and updates available. Use updated firewall, spyware, pop-up stopper,
windows updates, and never download or click on something questionable.
Do it on someone else's computer first.
I Want To Switch Cell Phone Companies. Do I Have To Re-Type In
All My Old Phone Numbers?: Yes! Most cell phone companies
have a device that will allow you to transfer all of your old info to
your new phone effortlessly. If the company your moving to does not provide
the service, think about another company.
Viruses: Basically the best advice we can give you is
to shut your computer down, unplug it and leave it that way. You may still
get a virus, but you won't know so it won't matter. Here are the latest
little jewels to come out as defined by Symantec.com.
W32.Bratle.A is a worm that attempts to propagate by
exploiting the Microsoft Windows LSASS Buffer Overrun Vulnerability (as
described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011). It also opens a FTP
server on the compromised computer.
DON'T GET IT! "What is propagate, is that like procreate?"
- Rolando
W32.Mytob.IM@mm is a mass-mailing worm that uses its
own SMTP engine to send an email to addresses that it gathers from the
compromised computer. The worm also spreads through the network by exploiting
the Microsoft Windows Local Security Authority Service Remote Buffer Overflow
(as described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011).
DONT GET IT! "All these worms, and me
without my fishing pole." - Rolando
W32.Falsu.A is a worm that spreads through file sharing
networks and mIRC. DON'T GET IT! "More stupid worms!"
- Rolando
Trojan.Jupillites is a Trojan horse that runs as a proxy.
It also performs an Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Denial of
Service attack against a predetermined computer. DON'T GET IT! "Man
there's a lot of hate here!- Rolando
PWSteal.Wowcraft is a password-stealing Trojan horse
that attempts to steal the password to the "World of Warcraft"
game and send it to the creator of the Trojan. DON'T GET IT! "Good
thing I don't play computer games!" - Rolando
W32.Mytob.IK@mm is a mass-mailing worm that opens a
back door and lowers security settings on the compromised computer. DON'T
GET IT! "I'm so tired of having my back door opened!"
- Rolando
